Samuel: Greetings, dears.
Hello, Samuel.
S: [Talking to dogs] Is that it? There you go. Is that your seat right there? Why is it they walk right up to the front, they look at me, then they just immediately look away? I’ll pretend I don’t see you either. Then just as you get into it, we’ll look the other way, all right?
So, big month ahead of you. Are you looking forward to it? How was the last one?
Awesome.
S: Good! What made it awesome?
It was fun, and I got a lot accomplished.
S: Fun, fun, Good.
I had a ball this last week. Met a lot of beautiful people.
S: Knowing it’s going to be a lot of mental/emotional stuff, that you’re allowing it to be fun, to be awesome, a ball, it’s a good thing.
Guardianship has made it a wonderful month for me. Being strong, being clear about all kinds of things, just increasing awareness in consciousness. It’s been great.
I’ve decided to do something totally radical, and I went back to school. It’s been a pretty big change.
S: Getting used to it?
It was a lot of adaptability, trying new things. Every day was something new, and I can really look back and feel a sense of accomplishment. A significant learning curve at first, but I am enjoying it.
S: Good for you. But you’re not bad at doing something new, trying new things. You’re pretty good at doing new things anyway. Good for you.
This is an advanced course in that.
S: My understanding is that adults going back are considered to be the best kind of students. They know what they’re doing. They have much more skill.
Have more passion.
It’s been a good month because I’ve survived it. It’s been a trying month, but I’m through it.
S: Good attitude. It is. When the going gets tough, the tough stand there and say, “You’re not going to beat me.” It’s not the tough get going. The tough stand there and say . . .
. . . “Bring it on.”
Last month was chaotic.
S: You think?
But I just see it as working perfectly because so many wonderful things came out of it in ways people are working together who have had difficulties and challenges. A lot of really magnificent things came out of it.
S: Good.
It’s been a month where I’ve felt stronger and more attached to my body and less attached to my body.
S: Nice. I like that.
What are you going to make this month about? Because it’s up to you. And it is. So what do you want it to be about? Think about it.
Healing.
S: Healing. All right. Good.
Stability.
S: Stability. Always good. Balance.
Creativity.
S: Creativity.
I have a birthday, like Marion, coming up. It’s also the beginning, for me. February is like the first part of spring. It inspires me to want to organize, to open the windows—even though it’s a little soon for that. It’s kind of an anticipation of what’s to come.
S: Well, it actually is the beginning, the start, the open of the doors, to what is to come, so that fits pretty perfectly actually. The Earth begins its process, so that fits very well. It’s the time to, if you were sleeping, think of it that way. If you were sleeping, it’s when the birds first awaken and you think, “Am I hearing that? Do I need to wake up?” You know that one, don’t you? You just roll over and you go back to sleep. That’s what you’re talking about. Winter isn’t over but spring isn’t here, but you know that things are getting ready. That’s where things are, very much. That’s where you are, very much. Interestingly enough, in Bonnie’s life it’s not about taking action; it’s very much about not taking action. And yet sometimes in life that’s some of the more powerful actions to take. Knowing when not to act can be some of the more powerful things to do. Knowing when not to speak, knowing what to do. There’s a lot of power there. Bonnie has mellowed quite a bit. You’ve learned that one. Good girl.
So what do you want to do with this month? My suggestion is use what a whole lot of this world is going to be doing with this month anyway. What do you think that is?
Hearts.
S: Thinking about love. Now you know there’s all kinds of love. There is the love that a boy has for his dog which is a very wonderful kind of love, indeed. There is the love that a child has for a parent, an interesting kind of love, indeed. There is the love that you have for, oh, I don’t know—a pretty pair of shoes. Or not.
To each his own.
S: That’s right. [Exchange about the Wizard of Oz] There is the love that a friend has for a friend, a love that an old married couple has which is somewhat different than the love that a young married couple has. The love that two sixteen-year-olds have. Any of you remember that one? [Makes “hot” gesture.] There is all kinds of love. But every bit of it is all based upon the human’s desire to express a version of what Source is because the expression of Source in the world of form is love. And dependent upon how a human understands it, God is love. “No greater love has any man than this, that He lay down his life for his friends.” So I want to talk about laying down your life for your friends.
So do you think I’m talking about laying down your life, go running in front of traffic or something like that? Not at all. I’m talking about putting your life aside for others, which is the kind of thing you naturally do when you’re in love. So I want you to think about being in love.
All right, who remembers being in love? Is there a reason everybody in here did not raise their hand? And if anybody in here did not raise their hand, I want you to stop for a moment and think about that. I just discussed how everybody in here is experiencing love in one way or another. So, ideally you are in love somehow, right? So you are in love. And you are experiencing love. So don’t limit this just to, “Oh, young married love! Oh, young sixteen-year-old in love! I want to get into your pants and koochy-koo.”
Think, “I want you to be happy.” And that could be your plant you’re talking to; it could be your cat you’re talking to; it could be your sweet puppy you’re talking to. “I want you to be happy,” right? “So I will stop what I am doing and do something for you.” That’s what you do. You lay aside your life for your friend, right? Not such a strange imperative is it? Then in this world as a whole, why is it you think that’s so strange?
What’s strange?
S: Why so few do that? Why it is not the norm to set oneself aside to give to another?
Can be seen as a loss sometimes.
Choices.
S: Choices, free will.
Fear of rejection.
Ego is asking, “What’s in it for me?”
S: The “What’s in it for me? Why should I let go of myself?”
Too busy to see the need.
S: Too busy. Thoughtlessness.
When it comes to helping strangers, too many stories of being taken advantage of.
You should help no matter what.
Fear of being taken advantage of.
Love is a kind of energy that fills within you. You don’t have to go and tell somebody; they will feel it. And you get that return by just their being there. It’s not a . . . not like you signed up for something and have to behave in a certain way. Just loving. The thing about that, at least to me, is it just fills me with happiness. I can’t stop that part. And I don’t want to. It’s something you can walk through a crowd . . . creatures . . . friends should feel that.
S: Should. No disagreement, dear. None at all. And yet, because of all of the reasons stated and more, this is a world in which that sense of love is available, is a free resource, is there for the giving, returns to you as you give it, isn’t a reality. Instead, it is something that is parsed out to a special few. It is counted in gifts, and cards, and diamonds, and flowers, and heartbreaks, and . . . you know what? You’re here to change that. And you know what? You already are. And guess how? Come on! You already know this stuff.
Living love.
S: By living it. This isn’t a new one.
This is February at Phoenix. Because you live it. You have come to this planet at a very important time. Do not ever doubt that. You came at a time of transition, and whether you awakened to it when you were five or fifty, it doesn’t matter. You came because you had a job to do, and that job was to function at a very high-frequency state, the nature of energy being such that at such a high frequency it would affect other energy functions. Now, that can be very complex in explanation that I do not need to go to at this point, but the bottom line of it is, as Gwendolyn was saying, simply by your presence you have an effect. But more than that, by your conscious intent in any particular situation you have a specific effect. And when that specific effect is to be the example of love in that situation, you become the doorway, the means by which others are capable of doing what you are able to do. The eight-minute mile was impossible until the first one ran it. Then the six-minute mile was impossible. Then the five. Now it’s four. It’s what you do. And you keep breaking the barriers of what is possible.
And although I used the word love because it is the greater function of Source, that has many different functions, of which your definition of love is a part of it, it is what Source is in this world. And a Guardian’s work is to represent that in this world. And as you master each specific function, you become capable of, each compartment, if you will, each additional function, an additional function, an additional function . . . fully mastering love. You’ve heard of Carpet Master? You’re a Love Master, baby.
Now, Marion’s born on Valentine’s Day. What do you think she is? That’s a real love master, eh?
Mastering each function of love is not just your duty; it’s your pleasure. And in so doing, this world is capable then of following into what you have progressed through. And because Jean is different from Lillibeth, those who would relate to Jean and not Lillibeth will be able to progress following Jean, where they would not following Lillibeth. Which is why it’s so important that each of you do the work rather than leave it to me, or Jean or Steven, or . . . you see? Because if you do that, those that would only get it because of you won’t get it. And I promise you, there are those who would only get it because of you. There are those in your life . . . you know already there are those in your life that are there, that are in and out of your life, that you might call it what, a coincidence? In they come, out they go. Your circle doesn’t connect with anyone else. They’re yours.
So what are you doing to give them the love they need? You know, not everybody is here for the humans. It’s true. Not everybody’s here for the rocks. David’s relieved. Not everybody’s here for the plants. Charlotte and Gayle are relieved. Not everybody’s here for the creatures. Most Guardians are here for the humans. And just about every one of you are. What are you doing for them? And this is a good month for you to be thinking about that and doing something about it, because this is a month that’s all about love.
I’d like to encourage you to think about love in three ways. The first one is about love as a function of Source beyond a human experience. And I want you to try to blow your mind with that. However, you can think beyond love as a heart experience, all right? Love as a force, not as an emotion. All right? Because it is, it’s a force. Love is dark matter.
The second is to think about love as [talks to dog] an action and to give yourself the assignment of consciously expressing love in a new way every day. Some new way. “Today I’m going to express love by singing to a tree.” “Today I’m going to express love by playing with the wind.” See what I mean? Something new, so what?
And the third thing is to look for new ways to feel love. Feel love, feel loved. Yes? [Talks to dog] So that was me giving love in a way that I like to give love. I had quite a lovely time there.
So, those three things. You good? One last thing. February is thought of as a short month, right?
Capped by my birthday.
S: A lot of birthdays in this month. It’s a good, powerful month. It’s a month of many changes. You’re going to be finding . . . a lot of you may be finding a lot of opportunities for frustration if you are not careful, if you’re not . . . If you choose to be stuck in your own version of things, if you choose to see it your way only, if you choose to have to have it your own way, you’re going to be frustrated a lot this month. This month is going to need a lot of adaptability. Remember that, because this month is about change and flow.
This February? Or in general.
S: Februarys in general are about that. In general. As I said at the very beginning, it’s “Should I wake up, should I not?” It’s just the start. The Earth is beginning to change now. You’ve got an important Earth holiday coming up. Make use of it. In fact you’ve got a good full moon holiday coming up. Tuesday, yes? So take part. Who is leading?
Paula.
S: Paula. Do you need volunteers?
Yes. I have five places.
S: Good! Who will volunteer? One, two, three . . .
You just have to meet at 6:30 for the rehearsal, and then we’ll go straight into the ritual.
S: That was Megan, Phyllis, Gwen, Bonnie, Ken. Bonnie said no. Excellent.
When will we do Questions and Answers again?
S: Sometime. Glochanumora.
